In a watershed broadcast agreement, Netflix has captured the exclusive rights to air the entirety of the 2030 FIFA World Cup across Spain and Andorra, bringing all 104 matches of the global tournament directly to the streaming platform. The upcoming tournament holds historic significance as the 100th anniversary of the World Cup.

Spain, holding the reigning champion title, will share primary hosting duties alongside Portugal and Morocco, while special centenary celebration matches are scheduled to take place in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. To serve local audiences, Netflix intends to deliver comprehensive live coverage featuring pre-match, halftime, and post-game programming tailored with a distinct Spanish perspective, complemented by daily round-up broadcasts and lead-up specials.

The agreement Netflix and FIFA also balances digital streaming with traditional access: one match per matchday will be offered for free within Spain, while a dedicated package - encompassing every match featuring the Spanish national team, both semi-finals, and the final - will air via a national free-to-air broadcaster. Further details regarding the platform's partnership for these free-to-air broadcasts are slated for release closer to the event.

The FIFA World Cup 2030 agreement builds upon Netflix’s deepening partnership with soccer's governing body, following the platform's acquisition of broadcast rights for the 2027 and 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cups in the United States and Canada. For those regional broadcasts, coverage will cater to multilingual audiences by offering English and Spanish commentary stateside, alongside English and French telecasts in Canada.
