Netflix Drops ‘One Piece’ Podcast With Cast and Creator Eiichiro Oda: Release Date, No of Episodes and More
Fans of the live-action One Piece adaptation are in for a treat with Netflix's brand-new official podcast, dropping all six episodes worldwide on March 13, 2026. Titled ONE PIECE: Into the Grand Line Official Podcast, this deep-dive series promises insider scoops straight from the Straw Hat crew and an episode featuring the original manga's creator, Eiichiro Oda himself, as per Netflix Tudum.
Kicking off with Episode 1: Loguetown, Iñaki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy) reunites with Eiichiro Oda to unpack the series' climactic pre-Grand Line vibes. Episode 2: Reverse Mountain spotlights Emily Rudd (Nami) dishing on her navigator's cunning debut. Mackenyu (Roronoa Zoro) takes Episode 3: Whisky Peak, revealing swordplay secrets.
On the other hand, Jacob Romero (Usopp) owns Episode 4: Little Garden, Part 1, sharing sniper laughs amid dinosaur drama. The fun continues in Episode 5: Little Garden, Part 2 with Taz Skylar (Sanji), cooking up chef insights, and wraps in Episode 6: Drum Island, where Charithra Chandran (newcomer vibes?) and Mikaela Hoover spill on icy adventures.

Timed perfectly ahead of season 2 hype, it spotlights key arcs from the East Blue saga, blending cast interviews, behind-the-scenes tales, and manga nods for die-hards. One can expect Oda's rare candor, production Easter eggs, and new Q&As to be pure joy for the 1,100+ chapter epic.
On the other hand, Tomorrow Studios, the team behind the now-podcast-forwarded One Piece live-action, is diving into early development on a live-action Samurai Champloo.
Another beloved anime to get a live-action adaptation
The 2004 anime classic Samurai Champloo, a 26-episode gem blending hip-hop beats with Edo-period swordplay, follows the ragtag trio of Mugen's wild street fighter, Jin's stoic samurai, and Fuu's plucky quest leader. The series was directed by anime legend Shinichirō Watanabe right after his Cowboy Bebop triumph.
Watanabe's involvement is the big hook here. Producer Becky Clements revealed they sealed the deal over dinner in Japan, convincing him to shape the creative vision after his more hands-off Bebop gig that fizzled out. No platform is locked in yet, but Clements says interest is pouring in with "a lot of incoming calls," and they are hunting for a major recording artist to capture that signature hip-hop soul.

This news lands hot on One Piece's Stranger Things-solving season 2's heels, which IGN hailed as a "miracle" for nailing Eiichiro Oda's absurd manga spirit in live action. If Tomorrow Studios channels Champloo's anachronistic flair, with breakbeats clashing against katana duels, they could redeem their anime slate and deliver another genre bender. Fans are buzzing. Will it surf the One Piece wave until it lands a podcast of its own or crash like the Cowboy Bebop adaptation?
