According to Deadline, the Netflix sports drama, Perfect, will no longer move forward after Millie Bobby Brown officially exited the project this summer. Sources indicate that her departure stemmed from fundamental creative differences with the production team. She was originally set to portray the iconic Olympic gymnast Kerri Strug during her historic 1996 performance.

The film was intended to adapt the memoir titled Landing on My Feet: A Diary of Dreams for the screen. Brown was heavily involved in the project, serving as both the lead actress and a producer under her PCMA banner. Despite the initial excitement, the studio and the star's representatives have declined to comment.

The story aimed to capture the moment Strug secured a gold medal while competing on a severely injured ankle. Without its leading lady and producer, the streaming service decided to scrap the entire production.

The adaptation of the novel Nineteen Steps is currently being prepared for production to begin in London in June 2026. Because of this filming window, audiences should expect the feature film to debut sometime in 2027.

Meanwhile, the supernatural series titled Prism remains in active development with no fixed release date, as the star continues to balance her numerous executive responsibilities. These upcoming titles ensure her presence on the platform remains strong despite the recent loss of the gymnastics biopic.
