The film was intended to adapt the memoir titled Landing on My Feet: A Diary of Dreams for the screen. Despite the initial excitement, the studio and the star's representatives have declined to comment.

The story aimed to capture the moment Strug secured a gold medal while competing on a severely injured ankle. Without its leading lady and producer, the streaming service decided to scrap the entire production.
