Nemesis on Netflix completely revolutionized the heist genre by using the excitement of the crime when it arrived on May 14. It tempted the audience into watching the series, quietly taking them to the psychological depths that motivate, encourage, and where everything eventually crashes and burns. With even more intricate heists, more in-depth character development, and the same moral ambiguity that made the previous season a critical favorite, people are expecting a second season from the makers.

The demand for a season 2 has led many to scour the internet for details regarding its release date, cast, and plot. 

In the last week since the show's release, Netflix has not formally renewed Nemesis for a second season. Courtney A. Kemp, the show's creator, did, however, disclose in an Instagram live chat that she already has plans for a second season and that the crew is actively working on it. The finale of season 1 deliberately left many doors open to pave the way for a second season; the only thing standing in the way is the confirmation from the streamer. 

Since season 2 is not yet confirmed, there is no way to get the exact details on the cast for the upcoming season. However, we can make an educated guess.

We can only put together an anticipatory list of returning cast based on the events of the season 1 finale. The stars most likely to return are Matthew Law as Isaiah Stiles, Y’lan Noel as Coltrane Wilder, Cleopatra Coleman as Ebony Wilder, Gabrielle Dennis as Candace Stiles, and Cedric Joe as Noah Stiles. Other possible returners include Sophia Brown as Charlie, Tre Hall as Darren, and Jonnie “Dumbfoundead” Park as Chris Choi. We can only wait for the announcement of the actual cast list.

Just as it was for the cast details, we could only toy with the idea of where the plot of season 2 might go without any solid information on the development.

Season 2 of Nemesis on Netflix might center around the explosive consequences of Detective Isiah Stiles and Coltrane Wilder’s intense rivalry. The story may see Coltrane eventually finding out the whereabouts of his pregnant wife, Ebony, who was covertly taken out of the hospital. Another possible storyline might be Coltrane's efforts to deal with the terrible repercussions of using the cartel.

With the crime thriller Nemesis, Courtney A. Kemp, the mastermind behind the Power world, has once again stunned the audience with her vision. Nemesis, the first series in a new creative collaboration between Kemp and Netflix, is a thriller and high-stakes drama that was co-created with Tani Marole. Season 2 seems inevitable, especially since the makers tried their best to set up for it with the season 1 finale. Now, it is up to Netflix to give it the green light.
