Since Cannes put a condition that would require the streamer to release the movies in the French theaters first before bowing on the streamer 15 months later, Venice has become the go-to film festival for Netflix to launch their Oscar hopefuls. And this year, Spanish actress Ana De Armas&#8217; movie Blonde is leading the pack of Netflix original movies.
<h2>Blonde and three other Netflix movies to premiere at the Venice Film Festival </h2>
Apart from Andrew Dominik&#8217;s movie, Noah Baumbach&#8217;s White House, Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths, and Athena are also in the mix. The White House stars Greta Gerwig, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Adam Smith and is based on Don DeLillo&#8217;s novel of the same name. Alejandro G. Inarritu&#8217;s False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths, will tackle the existential crisis of a Mexican journalist and documentary filmmaker. Lastly, Romain Gavras&#8217; Athena is the brainchild of Ladj Ly (Les Miserables).
In the mix are also some <a href="https://variety.com/2022/film/news/venice-marilyn-monroe-blonde-netflix-1235286683/">hot titles</a> from other production houses. There is <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/best-of-timothee-chalamet-on-netflix-netflix-news/">Timothee Chalamet&#8217;s </a>Bones and All, Harry Styles and Florence Pugh&#8217;s Don&#8217;t Worry Darling, and Julia Roberts and George Clooney&#8217;s Ticket to Paradise. Floren Seller&#8217;s The Son and Cate Blanchett&#8217;s Tar are completing the list.

Last year, Venice launched <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/benedict-cumberbatch/">Benedict Cumberbatch</a>&#8216;s <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/the-power-of-the-dog">The Power of the Dog</a> which went on to win the <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/netflix-news-it-would-be-impossible-without-the-man-i-never-met-jane-campion-remembers-thomas-savage-while-accepting-the-best-director-oscar-award-for-netflixs-the-power-of-the-dog/">Director&#8217;s award at the Oscars</a>. Out of the four movies, it is Dominik&#8217;s movie on the late legend that has generated the most hype. It is the first movie from the company that received an NC-17 rating. Ana De Armas will essay the role of the Hollywood diva Marilyn Monroe and explore her tragic life story. 
<h2>Ana De Armas also stars in Netflix&#8217;s The Gray Man</h2>
Apart from <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/blonde">Blonde</a>, Armas is also a part of the Russo Brothers&#8217; <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/the-gray-man">The Gray Man</a> on <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/category/news">Netflix.</a> The ambitious project from the Russo brothers reunites the duo with Chris Evans. Also, starring in the movie is Hollywood&#8217;s heartthrob, <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/ryan-gosling">Ryan Gosling</a> and <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/dhanush/">Dhanush</a>. 
The Venice Film Festival commences on August 31.
