Netflix is set to bring one of its hit crime thrillers back, but this time in a new format. The Brazilian crime drama series Sintonia is getting a feature-length film spin-off, Nando Between Two Worlds, which is expected to premiere on the streaming platform this year. The upcoming film promises to return to the same chaotic criminal world that made the original show a hit, but this time with a new, refreshing story 

The streamer has also unveiled a first look at the movie, teasing more action, crime, and mounting tension. And it shows both new faces and the return of several familiar characters. So, here is a closer look at the cast of the film.

Christian Malheiros as Nando: Christian Malheiros is well known for his role as Angel in the Brazilian film Transmission. He also starred in the 2018 drama film Sócrates.

Júlia Yamaguchi as Scheyla: Júlia Yamaguchi is well known for her role in Rio 2096: A Story of Love and Fury.

Duda Pimenta as Bruninha: Duda Pimenta is a Brazilian actress well known for her roles in Toda Família Tem, Era Uma Vez Minha 1ª Vez, and As Aventuras de Poliana: O Filme.

Henrique Santana as Moicano: Henrique Santana, who is known for his role in São Paulo Heist, is also part of the show. Moicano is shown to be Nando’s partner, who had stayed back in Brazil.

Previous cast members Bruna Mascarenhas and Jottapê are also expected to make guest appearances in the show, reprising their roles as Rita and Doni. While anticipation for the spin-off is high, there is also much curiosity as to whether the film is directly connected to the Sintonia series, which is one of the best crime thrillers on Netflix.

Nando Between Two Worlds is connected to the series Sintonia, as it follows the story of the same character, Nando. Set nearly five years after the events of the original series, the spin-off picks up after Nando's rise in the criminal world. He is now living in Serbia, far away from the chaos of his past. However, he is forced back into that dangerous world when his daughter, Bruninha, suddenly runs away from home.

This pushes Nando to make the toughest and most important decision of his life. While Sintonia ran for 5 seasons, Nando Between Two Worlds will be the final chapter in Nando's journey. The only question now is how his story will end and what choice he will ultimately make. The film will premiere on August 12, 2026, on Netflix.
