Several Netflix shows have been mercilessly canceled after just a season or two, with very few enjoying a long run. One of the rare exceptions is Sintonia, which became one of the streaming platform's longest-running Brazilian series. The crime thriller show enjoyed a successful five-season run, with its final season premiering in February 2025.

Now, more than a year later, the story is getting a feature-length treatment. Titled Nando Between Two Worlds, the film is set to arrive on Netflix soon. So, here is everything you need to know about its cast, plot, and release date ahead of its premiere.

Christian Malheiros as Nando: Christian Malheiros is returning to reprise his role in the film. He previously starred in the 2018 drama film Sócrates.

Júlia Yamaguchi as Scheyla: Júlia Yamaguchi has previously starred in Rio 2096: A Story of Love and Fury.

Duda Pimenta as Bruninha: Duda Pimenta is known for her role in Era Uma Vez Minha 1ª Vez. She will play the role of Nando’s daughter, Bruninha, in the film.

Henrique Santana as Moicano: Henrique Santana has previously appeared in São Paulo Heist. He will join the film to play the role of Nando’s partner, Moicano.  

Bruna Mascarenhas as Rita (guest appearance): The actress is known for her role in The Park Maniac. 

Jottapê as Doni (guest appearance): The Brazilian singer will return to reprise his role as Doni.

Apart from the cast details for the show, Netflix has also shared the plot of the movie and whether it is connected to the original series, Sintonia, which is one of the best thrillers on the streaming platform.

The film spin-off, Nando Between Two Worlds, follows Nando living in Serbia, five years after his rise to power in the criminal underworld. However, his life is disrupted when his daughter Bruninha runs away from home. As he tries to reconnect with Scheyla and his child, he continues running his criminal empire remotely with his partner, Moicano. 

But as several events pull him back into the dangerous world, Nando struggles to keep his family and criminal life apart. Ultimately, he must choose between protecting his family and staying loyal to the underworld that made him who he is. And much to fans' relief, the show will soon be released on Netflix.

Nando Between Two Worlds is all set to premiere on August 12, 2026. This comes nearly 1 year and 6 months after the original series ended its run in February, 2025. Directed by Johnny Araújo, Nando Between Two Worlds is a feature-length film, which is written by Guilherme Quintella, Denis Nielsen, and Léo Todeschini. This will also be the final chapter of Nando’s journey, as he will be pushed to make one final decision.
