The void left by the British monarchy might soon be filled by a dynasty that traded crowns for campaigns and castles for the White House. An upcoming cinematic journey suggests that the American dream is often just a tragedy dressed in a tuxedo and will surely fill the void if one misses watching The Crown on Netflix.

Netflix is preparing to transition from the halls of Buckingham Palace to the shores of Hyannis Port. But what show are we talking about?

Netflix's upcoming Kennedy seems to be the exact recipe for another royal drama, but this time about American royalty. In a conversation with Instinct Magazine, one of the producers close to the show hailed it as the spiritual heir to The Crown, making it the perfect treat for fans of the British monarchy.

It trades the quiet endurance of the British monarchy for the bold pursuit of the American Dream, contrasting the rigid expectations of royalty with the magnetic charisma of democratic power.

“Its Succession meets The Crown, only real,” said one producer. Both series explore how power is passed down and the significant burden that a family legacy imposes on individuals. This new venture seeks to capture why the world remains fascinated by this particular lineage.

Kennedy spans decades of history, beginning with the early days of the family in Boston. It eventually transitions into the famous Camelot era, which defined a presidency and inspired an entire nation. One Netflix executive explained that the show explores the price of greatness beyond simple politics, as per Instinct Magazine.

“Joe Kennedy did not just want success; he wanted immortality through his children," a Netflix executive said, as per Instinct Magazine. This drive is what exactly shaped not just a family but also a country. The series will ultimately explore how one family helped define the American paradox of hope intertwined with heartbreak.

While still in production, the Kennedy saga has already found the face of the patriarch, Joseph P. Kennedy Sr.

Who is playing the lead in Kennedy

Kennedy is coming soon to Netflix. The plot of Kennedy will focus heavily on the patriarch, Joseph P. Kennedy Sr., and his relentless drive to elevate his social standing. It follows his journey as he builds a foundation for his sons to reach the highest levels of government.

Michael Fassbender will lead the cast in a performance that is already generating significant praise for its emotional nuance. He will portray the ruthless ambition and fierce devotion required to establish a political empire. The rest of the cast details remain under wraps as of now.
