Netflix loves pointing cameras at people who absolutely should not have cameras pointed at them. American Vandal turned high-school vandalism into a true-crime investigation, Cunk on Earth let a spectacularly confused historian interrogate civilization, and Trailer Park Boys made trailer-park dysfunction a television institution.

Now the streaming giant is putting another workplace under documentary-style surveillance, and its employees have fewer years of experience than their problems require. Minimum Wage takes place at a struggling pizza shop where teenagers battle school, customers, and an employer apparently allergic to workplace tranquility.

The ovens are hot. The paychecks are decidedly not.

When does Minimum Wage premiere, and what is the story?

Minimum Wage arrives on Netflix on Monday, October 26, 2026, with the first 14 episodes dropping together. Each installment runs approximately 12.5 minutes. Netflix originally ordered 28 episodes, with the remaining batch yet to receive a release date.

The setting is Slice Club, a local pizzeria where teenagers try to survive school commitments, demanding customers, low wages, and a boss with ambitious ideas about profitability. The trailer introduces a business threatened with closure, forcing employees to plead for its survival.

Their solutions are spectacular. There is an ill-advised valet operation, a car meeting a lake, a questionable freezer experiment, and a fight club operating in the parking lot. Apparently, selling pepperoni is now an optional side quest.

The comedy comes from American High Shorts, whose original Minimum Wage sketches amassed over 30 million views across social platforms. Jeremy Garelick and Will Phelps oversee the Netflix adaptation, preserving its frantic, bite-sized comedy. Think workplace surveillance footage with the energy of a group chat that has escaped containment.

And the people responsible for keeping those pizza ovens running are an impressively chaotic bunch.

Who stars in Netflix's Minimum Wage?

Grace Reiter as Grace: Reiter returns from the original American High Shorts ensemble, playing one of Slice Club's young employees. The actress also joined Saturday Night Live for its 52nd season.

Ryan Micho as Ryan: The trailer catches Ryan being blamed by someone in charge. He appears to have earned a place as the shop's favorite scapegoat.

Aidan Micho as Aidan: Another familiar American High face, Aidan becomes involved in an astonishing freezer experiment teased in the trailer. Clearly, workplace safety has left the building.

Hyde Healy as Hyde: Hyde is also implicated in that questionable experiment, thanks to an online claim mentioned in the preview. The pizzeria apparently doubles as an extremely unregulated science laboratory.

Julia DiCesare as Julia: Julia returns with the original sketch-comedy team as another member of Slice Club's crew. Further individual character details remain under wraps ahead of the premiere.

Randall Park as Mr. Sylvester: The WandaVision and Fresh Off the Boat actor plays the eccentric owner whose doubts about the shop's future threaten everyone's paychecks. He might just be the final boss of this pizza-based survival game.
