Almost a year after the end of Season 1, Ransom Canyon is returning for a second season. Much like its debut, the new season promises more romance, family drama, and battles over land and power. If anything, the reprise raises the stakes even higher. But what many fans are most excited about is the cast. 

Much to the anticipating audience, several familiar faces are returning to reprise their roles. Before the show returns for another whirlwind ride, here is a look back at the actors and the characters they played in the series.

Minka Kelly as Quinn: Minka Kelly appeared as Quinn O’Grady in the first season, and she returns to reprise her role in season 2. The actress is well known for her role as Lyla Garrity on the NBC drama series Friday Night Lights. She previously appeared in Euphoria. 

Josh Duhamel as Staten: He appeared as Staten Kirkland in season 1 and will return to reprise his role in season 2. The actor previously starred in All My Children. 

Lizzy Greene as Lauren Brigman: The actress is well known for her role as Dawn Harper in the Nickelodeon sitcom Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. She previously appeared as Sophie Dixon in the ABC family drama A Million Little Things.

Garrett Wareing as Lucas Russell: Many might know Wareing for his role in Manifest. He previously made his debut in Boychoir and later appeared in Independence Day: Resurgence and more films. 

Casey W. Johnson as Kit Russell: Johnson is well known for his roles in GLOW and For All Mankind.

Jack Schumacher as Yancy Grey: Schumacher appears as LT Neil "Omaha" Vikander in Top Gun: Maverick. He previously appeared in After All.

Tatanka Means as Jake Longbow

Marianly Tejada as Ellie Estevez

Season 2 also introduces several new faces to the story. Steve Howey will join as Staten's half-brother, Levi, while Patricia Clarkson will play Quinn's mother, Claire, and Heidi Engerman joins as Sidney. Ben Robson, Thomas Rhett, and Jordan Davis are also set to join the cast.

With the returning cast, Season 2 is set to bring even more tension and drama, and the cast of the show is not hiding it.

Ransom Canyon Season 2 is expected to bring even more mystery and drama than Season 1. Josh Duhamel said his character, Staten, has changed much from the last season. The new season will explore his journey as Staten is now set to make things right.

"My character isn’t as sullen as he was last year,” he told Tudum. “He’s much more out of his shell. He has fun.” 

Executive producer and writer April Blair also told Tudum that the team had even more fun making Season 2. That clearly hints at the story expanding in exciting ways. And with several new cast members joining the series, the upcoming season is set to introduce fresh conflicts and drama.
