Meet the Cast of 'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2: Who’s Back and Who’s New

Years after the original Netflix series, Daredevil was brought back to life again in the 2025 show Daredevil: Born Again. The superhero, who can see through every crime and sin in New York City, quickly took over the reins, earning a second season set to premiere this March. This season is expected to focus on Daredevil’s battle against Kingpin, though the fates of several characters remain uncertain as of now.

And many of the original cast are confirmed to return, while new faces are also joining the series.

Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Daredevil: It would be disastrous not to have the legend Charlie Co return to reprise his role.

Apart from the returning cast, the series also has exciting new names. Two notable names are Lili Taylor and Matthew Lillard. Taylor is set to play a political opponent to Fisk, while Lillard, who has garnered much hype around his role, will portray a new character described as a major power player.

While the cast and the crucial role they will play in the series are confirmed, the next question is whether the Netflix series will need to be watched before Daredevil: Born Again.

Daredevil: Born Again is a reboot of the original Netflix series. While Netflix's Daredevil might not be needed to enjoy the new series, it will help viewers understand the story and characters. Earlier, Charlie Cox, in his interview with Empire, said the show started as a reimagining.

However, later, it became more of a continuation of the original series. Moreover, Vincent D’Onofrio, in his interview with Deadline, also called it a "fourth season” of the Netflix show. So, although the old series might not be important, it might make the watching session easier for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.
