Netflix’s animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft was well-received by the audience for its impressive storytelling, character development, and action scenes. Atwell, who is well known for playing Peggy Carter, made a switch to voicing the iconic character of Lara Croft in the series. While in the Marvel movie, she has shown impressive action skills, she had to take on a more challenging role to bring Lara Croft to life, and she showed a brilliant performance, too.
Season 1, which is currently streaming on Netflix, is a must-watch for the fandom that might appreciate the several references to the games and emotional depth in the series. It fits right into the Tomb Raider Survivor game storyline and takes place after Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The show follows Lara as she is forced back into action when a powerful artifact is stolen from Croft Manor and fills in some missing pieces from the games’ timeline, too. But despite positive reviews, the series ended in 2025 after two seasons. But even with its short run, the show is impressive and is worth watching.
Along with this, Netflix has continued to add more anime series, along with 2026’s biggest show.
