Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within is Netflix's upcoming documentary that follows the journey of the dance group called Masaka Kids Africana from the Uganda’s Masaka area, haunted by the HIV/AIDS crisis. Children who have gone through famines, wars, starvation, and being orphaned are the ones who get up and become a beacon of hope through viral dance videos on YouTube. The story of these Uganda-based YouTube dance sensations finds a home in this documentary, highlighting who they are beyond the moves that captivated the world and saved theirs.

The film focuses on the kids’ transformation, from mere survival to artistic expression, from the streets to the global city. It delves deep into the orphanage and unique community that served as the platform for this remarkably passion-driven phenomenon, even in the face of devastating hardships. Moses Bwayo and David Vieira Lopez direct the film, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle associated with the project as producers through their Archewell Productions-Netflix deal. And the wait to know every heart-warming and moving detail about the Masaka kids is almost over.

According to The Telegraph's reports, the couple discovered the Masaka troupe through viral videos they watched with their son, Prince Archie, during the COVID-19 lockdown.
