The effervescent leading faces of Disney+ and Netflix have had much of a
tug-of-war between them. However, upon a closer look, it is the latter that has

Disney following suit, the war between the two is as similar as pronounced.

and revenue. Marred by poor reception and criticisms of its tentpole franchises
like Marvel, the boss looks to turn to an unlikely collaborator. As reported by

investor call. However, Iger made it clear that the company’s “core brands” –

Unlike Netflix, Disney has a very fragmented streaming business spread over
Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. Moreover, the CEO also admitted that the House of
Mouse has “actually been licensing content to Netflix.” The rationale behind the
move is to showcase the company’s streaming prowess while also reducing the load
on itself to focus on delivering quality content. The reports come after Iger’s
previous call to push for “quality over quantity” and cost-cutting measures.
