Many people have taken a liking to the show, but not because of the plot, but because of how amazing an actress Rachel Weisz is.

The Mummy (1999)

It does not matter if this is her best work to date or not; it is the movie she is most recognized for. This movie gave her global fame and still has extreme rewatchability. An adventure film with a resurrected Egyptian mummy trying to sacrifice her character, Evelyn “Evie” Carnahan, is a peak nostalgia movie for 90s kids.

Weisz's portrayal of a fearless, eccentric, inquisitive librarian who is enthralled with Ancient Egypt and is on the verge of becoming an action hero as the movie progresses is simply captivating. Weisz's first major performance was fantastic, and the character and her chemistry with Fraser were so strong that the movie became a classic.

Dead Ringers (2023)

This show aptly proves that you can never have too much Rachel Weisz in one project. A retelling of the David Cronenberg film, Dead Ringers, is a tale of twin sisters, Beverly and Elliot (both played by Weisz). They are both successful obstetricians and are determined to start their own medical practice.

Weisz's portrayal of the twins is amazing, and the way she added nuances in gesture, look, speech, and even their body language is just masterful. They occasionally pose as one another, but even in such instances, it is clear that Elliot is attempting to pass for Beverly and vice versa - and that is where the real acting is.

The Favourite (2018)

The Favourite narrates the tale of Queen Anne (Olivia Colman) and her two aides, Sarah (Weisz) and Abigail (Emma Stone), who compete to be her favorite. Both of them want to be as close to her as possible and attempt to exert as much influence over her choices as they can.

Weisz plays a lady who is both ambitious and genuinely concerned about the Queen. She is both cruel and sympathetic to Abigail, and the actor captures all of those feelings. He performance was so intense that she got an Oscar nomination for her role alongside her co-stars Emma Stone and Olivia Coleman.

Disobedience (2018)

Disobedience follows the connection between the main leads Esti (Rachel McAdams) and Roni (Rachel Weisz), two women in a London Orthodox Jewish community. When Roni returns to the community following the death of her father, they rekindle their friendship, and from there the story begins to take shape.

Weisz's performance as Roni is a standout in the film. With love, passion, and rage, she builds a distinct and conflicted character with far more depth on the inside than she attempts to convey on the exterior.

The Whistleblower (2010)

The Whistleblower, which is based on the true story of Kathryn Bolkovac (Weisz), tells the terrifying tale of Bolkovac's discovery of a human trafficking network while working in post-war Bosnia. In her efforts to expose such a nefarious organization, she gets fired but never backs down from the fight against their criminal activities.

Bolkovac is a perfect fit for Weisz, who is always excellent at portraying strong, morally upright individuals. The actress brilliantly plays a person who does not care about what happens to her as long as she can assist others in need.
