The black comedy got the ball rolling for what would become the unstoppable duo
of McDonagh and Farrell. The latter scored a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor
while Martin McDonagh was awarded for the movie’s brilliant screenplay at the
BAFTA awards.

McDonagh proved that he is a creative force when the second project he embarked
upon after his successful directorial debut was about a filmmaker trying to
follow up the success of his first film with an equally brilliant second one.
