Jeremy Strong maintained a German-educated Polish accent for seven months before filming The Boys from Brazil. Director Aaron Sorkin revealed, while speaking to GQ getting a surprise phone call from Strong long after filming The Social Reckoning had wrapped up. Strong spoke entirely as an Eastern European N*** Hunter without offering any explanation for the dramatic voice change.
“He called me six or eight weeks ago and without any introduction, he was just speaking as an Eastern European N*** hunter, talking to me about the movie we had just made, without saying, ‘Hey, listen, this is going to sound strange, but.…’,” Sorkin said. Jeremy Strong explained that a character’s voice should feel natural rather than forced because speech defines individuality.

“I enjoy very much talking to him when he’s in the throes of these other people,” Cooper said about his actor friend.
