“It’s Going to Be a Dark Christmas”- Duffer Brothers Dropped the Biggest Hint for 'Stranger Things' Season 5 Volume 2

Mystery is about to stir up Hawkins once again as the Upside Down grows stranger than ever. Stranger Things is inching closer to its end, with Volume 2 expected to drop soon. With the show nearing its last season, fans have been busy spinning countless theories and speculations.

Earlier, the Duffer brothers Matt and Ross Duffer sparked a debate when they hinted at the possible death of fan-favorite Steve Harrington, played by Joe Keery. They did so by pushing a figurine of Steve from a table during their appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, only to put it back moments later.

While the speculation continues to run wild, the Duffer Brothers have also teased a major hint for the ending of season 5.

The Duffer brothers' dropped a mysterious hint on the ending of Stranger Things

In an interview with APEntertainment, the Duffer Brothers shared that the ending of season 5 could be emotional.

“It’s going to be a dark Christmas… and an emotional New Year’s Eve," they said.

As of now, fans have continued to see if they can find a link in the trailer of the show. The clip hints that Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 will pick up right where things left off. 

It shows Will admitting that they never stood a chance, while Dustin revealed that the Upside Down will get stranger than before. From eerie explorations to shocking revelations, things hint at getting more dangerous for Eleven and the crew. The trailer ends with Vecna ominously declaring his wish to start a new world.

With Season 5 already smashing viewership records, having racked up 59.6 million views in the first episode and the final battle very close, fans' expectations are more than ever. But will the streaming giant drop all the episodes on December 25?

Fans are waiting with bated breath for season 5 Volume 2

Netflix has officially locked in the schedule for Stranger Things Season 5. The fifth and final season is rolling out in three parts. Volume 1, which includes the first four episodes, has already dropped on November 26, 2025.

After that cliffhanger revealing Will's powers in Sorcerer, the next three episodes will drop on Christmas. The final episode of Stranger Things is set to premiere on December 31, 2025.

While fans will hope for the entire cast to stay intact till the end of Stranger Things, it will surely be an emotional one to bid goodbye to Hawkins and the Upside Down one last time.
