Netflix US is home to The Greatest Night in Pop (2024), a detailed documentary about the recording of the iconic charity single 'We Are the World' that became an anthem to raise money for the 1983–1985 famine in Ethiopia. The film, directed by Bao Nguyen, offers a vision of the early days of 1985, when an entire constellation of stars came together, determined to make their humanitarian vision happen, singing a song together. United with Michael Jackson were Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Huey Lewis, Dionne Warwick, and Cyndi Lauper for the cause, among others.

It was released on Netflix on January 29, 2024, combining old material with new interviews to uncover how that one night changed the history of pop culture forever. The 97-minute movie is now available on the streaming platform in English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian. Meanwhile, other documentaries about Jackson available to stream now include Michael Jackson’s This Is It (2009) on Amazon Video and Apple TV, and Michael Jackson: The Life of an Icon, with precious family videos and interviews with his mother, Katherine Jackson, siblings, and music legends like Smokey Robinson and Dionne Warwick on Apple TV, ahead of the release of his newest buzz-worthy biopic.
