Is There a 'Jurassic Park' TV Series on Netflix? Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Humans’ fascination with dinosaurs and their origins has inspired both documentaries and fictional stories, most famously, Jurassic World. Following Steven Spielberg’s original Jurassic Park in 1993, several live-action adaptations have attempted to recreate its intense horror and brilliant storytelling. However, Jurassic World’s legacy does not end with just live-action movies.

With the recent trend of adapting classic adventure films into series, it is no surprise that interest has grown around whether there is a series version of Jurassic World. And if so, whether it is available on Netflix, which is home to several Jurassic World titles.

Interestingly, there is a unique animated addition to the Jurassic World universe. Titled Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, this is the first animated project on the franchise as well as the first television series. All five seasons, each with around eight episodes, are available to stream on Netflix.

Set during the events of the 2015 Jurassic World on Isla Nublar, the series brings back the same sense of tension and danger. It follows six teenage campers invited to the park, whose trip takes a terrifying turn when the creatures break free from their habitats. Forced to rely on one another, the group must face deadly dinosaurs and unknown threats as they struggle to survive and find a way to escape the island.

The animated world of Jurassic Park is expanded with a sequel

While there is indeed a new show based on dinosaurs on Netflix, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous arrived on the streaming platform back in 2020. With seasoned voice actors showing strong performances, along with unique characters and an intriguing storyline, all five seasons received massive appreciation. Nearly four years later, the series also got a sequel, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.

Several members of the original cast returned to reprise their roles in the sequel. The story follows the same group, set six years after the events of the previous show. It ran for four seasons through 2025. Both series hold the same charm for audiences and are brilliant series to watch alongside the franchise’s live-action adaptations.
