Sticking to the theme of an exciting, fast-paced story, Take Back is all about fighting for family. It revolves around Zara and Brian, played by Gillian White and Michael Jai White, who are a couple living a quaint, small-town life. But when a mysterious person from Zara's past comes and kidnaps their daughter, the couple enlists the help of the sheriff, played by James Russo, and races against time to save their only child from human trafficking. But Netflix users cannot enjoy it on that platform, as it is available on Amazon Prime.
It is also available on other platforms like Apple TV+, Tubi, and Plex. After its theater release, Take Back was put up for video on demand and online retailers. It opened to some mixed reviews four years ago. While Guardian praised it for starting off well, taking a long time to gather momentum, Film Threat called it “a great film to relax at home with and enjoy a steady stream of light suspense and action.” Although this Netflix disappointment could be compensated for easily.
With a schedule ready for blockbuster summer, Netflix has entertainment coming out of their sleeves this year.
