Is 'Supernatural' Coming Back to Netflix? Why was It Taken Down From the Streamer?

Netflix has removed one of its fan-favorite cult series, Supernatural, on December 17. The streaming platform had been home to Supernatural’s world of hunters and demons for more than 13 years. To jog your memory, the first season arrived on Netflix in September 2012.
Since then, the long-running American dark fantasy TV series (2005–2020) ran for 15 seasons, with all the episodes available on Netflix. The final episode aired on November 19, 2020. And despite such a long partnership, it bid farewell to the streamer giant. However, recent chatter suggests it might be coming back on Netflix.

Will Supernatural ever return to Netflix?
The future is not entirely dark when it comes to a possible Netflix return of Supernatural. The show could return if the streaming platform inks a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, which produced the show. As part of a larger content library agreement, the series could make its way back.
However, there is no official updates as of yet. As for the deal between Netflix and Warner Bros., the latter has agreed to the streaming platform’s $72 billion offer. So, the possibility of Supernatural returning to Netflix is not entirely bleak.
Moreover, the cult show has been a fan favorite for years, with its removal from the platform because its deal with The CW expired. While Supernatural may be gone, there are many other supernatural thriller shows to keep viewers hooked. But where can fans view Supernatural now?
The series starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles has not left the streaming scene for good, as before leaving Netflix, the show had already found a new home.
What is Supernatural's new home after Netflix?
Although Supernatural has left Netflix, fans can still watch the series on different streaming platforms. The show is already available for Amazon Prime viewers, with the episodes of the 15 seasons dropping on December 1. The show is also expected to drop on Peacock on December 22.
