Essentially, he holds that the crux and entire arc of the HBO show all lead to a
climactic showdown that happens in its last two finale episodes. However, in
contrast, he said that Stranger Things is a much more happening show. The
action, details, and characters were constantly built up over time with major
story building and confrontations, or as he puts it, “rock and roll” happening
throughout the season.

However, it seems like fans will have to wait a while for the next season. The
show has halted its production for the next season due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA
strikes. The strikes are something that even the director has acknowledged.
However, he added that he had already read his copy before the strike began and
thus, the show shall go into production as soon as Netflix receives a green
light. With signs of resumption, it seems it will grace the screens soon.
