Coming from talented director Óliver Laxe, the movie balances tension and emotional weight, making it both thrilling and emotionally devastating. It follows the story of a middle-aged man named Luis who travels in the deserts of southern Morocco with his son Esteban to find her daughter, who had been missing for a few months. His journey, along with other travelers in this dangerous land, becomes the heart of the story.

Whether it wins big at the Oscars or not, Sirat is still a film worth watching. As for Netflix, the platform may not have this thriller gem just yet, but its library is far from lacking when it comes to suspense and thrillers. Supernatural luck, obsessions, hallucinations, and a brutal reality are blended into one, which makes this yet another brilliant thriller that manages to keep the viewers hooked till the end.
