A Series of Unfortunate Events stands tall as one of the best darkly humorous Netflix Original series. Based on the Lemony Snicket book series by Daniel Handler, which has captured millions of readers' hearts, the plot chronicles the ordeal of the Baudelaire kids, the ingenious Violet, the bibliophile Klaus, and the youngest, Sunny.

The kids suddenly lose their parents in a fire and are placed under the guardianship of their far-off relative, the nefarious Count Olaf. Olaf, whose main goal is to take the children's huge fortune, comes up with nefarious plots, thus forcing the youngest ones to outsmart him in every instance. 

The Netflix series stars Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Warburton, Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, K.
