The ton is ready to return for Bridgerton Season 4, and whispers are spreading across town. While the show shifts its focus to Benedict Bridgerton’s story and introduces new characters to stir up drama, there is equal thrill in seeing familiar faces through a fresh lens. One character gaining the most traction is Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey.

With Season 4 arriving this January, Bridgerton has already been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6, raising questions about the return of previous actors, including Jonathan Bailey. Fortunately, Bailey has confirmed that Anthony Bridgerton will appear in the upcoming seasons and that he is happy to return. He also added that he has no issue taking on a supporting role if needed.

“I've never been someone who's like, ‘Thanks, bye.’ It's not in my nature. There’s a real sense of brotherly pride I feel in it,” Bailey told The Hollywood Reporter.

Bailey played a central role in Season 2, where his character's love story with Kate Sharma was the main focus. The Hollywood Reporter noted that Bailey admitted there could be times when he might not have much screen time due to scheduling conflicts or smaller storylines for his character. However, he assured that he will continue to make it work for as long as possible.

So, fans can look forward to seeing the Wicked actor back as a Bridgerton sibling. Showrunner Jess Brownell also confirmed to Teen Vogue that both Kate Sharma and Anthony will return in future seasons. 

“We love Jonny and Simone, and we'll have them back as much as we are able to,” Brownell said.

The most exciting part will be seeing Jonathan Bailey take on new responsibilities as the eldest Bridgerton sibling in season 4. 

Season 4 will shed more light on Jonathan Bailey’s character, Anthony Bridgerton, exploring his role as a brother. Siblings have historically played a crucial part in the events of previous seasons, so expectations are understandably high. Speaking to Good America, Bailey shared that he is excited to step into the role of big brother once again.

“Being the older brother, I'm gonna be there to support the youngsters as we go,” Bailey said about the upcoming season,” he said.

This season will focus on Benedict Bridgerton’s story, adapting Julia Quinn’s third book, An Offer From a Gentleman. With just a few days left until the first episode drops, what the ton will experience remains to be seen.
