Those who have not watched the movie yet are in for a psychologically intense wild ride, the memory of which will haunt them long after the credits roll.

Boasting an intriguing plot, its haunting elements, often employed only in the best of psychological thrillers, Distorted stars Christina Ricci as Lauren, a person suffering from bipolar disorder. She relocates with her spouse, Russell (Brendan Fletcher), to safety inside a modern and luxurious apartment building. 

At first, Lauren is enticed by the residence's modern architecture and state-of-the-art security systems, but then she starts to come across strange things, nightmares, and terrifying experiences. She comes to the conclusion that the high-tech layout might be the place for evil psychological experiments on residents, such as subliminal stimuli. 

Lauren's case gets support from Vernon Sarsfield (John Cusack), a disgraced journalist who is into cyber conspiracies. When Lauren is exposed to such subliminal stimuli again, she grows suspicious of everyone, including Russell, as the plot thickens.

Directed by Rob W. King with a screenplay by Arne Olsen, Vicellous Shannon plays Phillip Starks, and Nicole Anthony plays a minor role, Margo Ingram, with Oliver Rice as Lance Geyer, rounding out the cast of the film. Distorted, which had a limited US theatrical release on June 22, 2018, is a combination of paranoia, tech-thriller, and psychological tension in a quiet mystery.
