Is the choice of Bridgerton showrunners to omit a major character from season 3 right, or is it fueling disarray among fans

Is ‘Bridgerton’ Showrunners’ Decision to Skip a Major Character Right or Is It Just Another Controversy Brewing?

In a fervent crescendo of anticipation, fans have been on the edge of their
seats waiting for Bridgerton Season 3. Since the creators confirmed the premiere
date, fans have found themselves ensnared in the allure of love, scandal, and
the intricate dance of expectations. However, the latest news from the
showrunner about skipping a major character has stirred the internet. The
question is whether this decision is right or just the beginning of a
controversy.

Showrunner Jess Brownell recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly
[https://ew.com/bridgerton-season-3-preview-peneloise-photo-8416495] to hype up
the upcoming Bridgerton season. During the conversation, she shed light on
people’s assumptions about the show following the source and Benedict being in
season 3. The producer said the second Bridgerton brother has always been a fan
favorite. However, they will “play with him for a little bit more and let him
have more fun before he settles down,” said Brownell.

> ‘BRIDGERTON’ showrunner Jess Brownell says they skipped Benedict in season 3
> because “we've spent two seasons really getting to know Pen and Colin. We've
> been watching Pen's crush and seeing how oblivious Colin is to it. That's a

In season 3, the creators only want Penelope and Colin to be the focus.
According to her, fans have seen the Featherington daughter crushing over him
forever. “That’s a dynamic that you can only play out for so long before
something has to change,” she added. So the team felt this was the right time to
push these two characters who have long been friends to something more.

FANS REACT TO BRIDGERTON SHOWRUNNER SIDELINING BENEDICT IN SEASON 3

The Bridgerton series has made an inevitable place in viewers’ hearts since it
first arrived on Netflix. But the creators have made some changes in the last
two seasons which were well-received. But this time, seeing the story of
Benedict getting sidelined did not sit well with many fans who did not waste
time and expressed their disappointment on threads.

Fans are divided over this major change in the order of the storylines depicted
in Julia Quinn’s bestseller books. In the books, Benedict was happily married
when the Polin romance started. So fans who have read the books found this
change unfitting because they wish to explore his story on the screen. Fans will
find out next year when season 3 arrives in two parts only on Netflix
