Netflix’s Mating Season is the latest adult animated series from the creative minds behind Big Mouth, focusing on the romantic lives of woodland creatures. The show features a raccoon, bear, deer, and fox as they navigate the complexities of love and s** in the forest.
“In the search for love… we’re all animals”, Netflix's post announced, captioning the teaser. This colorful romantic comedy is scheduled to make its highly anticipated global debut on May 22, 2026. Netflix (via press release) announced on April 16th, 2026, for a reason.
"HAPPY NATIONAL H**** DAY!", the press release graphic said in context to the day and the genre of the new release.
The teaser trailer is presented as a mock podcast hosted by a forest troll who interviews the messy protagonist, Ray Skidsky. During the segment, Maury the Hormone Monster makes a surprising cameo appearance to mentor the h**** raccoon in his signature over-the-top fashion.
Viewers can expect a mix of gross-out gags and surprisingly relatable commentary on the universal need to find a partner. One racy scene involves Ray bringing a skunk back to his place, which predictably results in a very messy and explicit encounter.
Several other acclaimed animated productions are currently available to keep mature audiences entertained during the wait.
