Kanye West is called a musical genius for a reason. The Donda singer has had his music take a back seat since his barrage of controversies began in the last few months. But despite his dramas, he has always been much appreciated for his unique style of music, which is often based on politics, minimalism, and capitalism.

It has been a while since he has broken records for his musical talents. But fellow artists that he previously worked with have not forgotten about his talents. Jeezy is one such artist that admired Ye for his ability to turn music into a super hit number. They have worked on a couple of songs like ‘Put On’ and ‘Amazing.’ In an interview, Jeezy revealed an interesting story about Ye.

How Kanye West turned Jeezy’s song into a superhit

When it comes to music, Jeezy is just one of the celebrities that praised Ye for his musical talents. He recently appeared in an interview on the YouTube channel Revolt, where he spoke of his own career as a rapper. The Soul Survivor singer explained how he once came up with the song I got Money With Me. He sent the song to Ye, but the Donda singer returned a song, which seemed completely changed. At that point, the Get Right singer refused to use the music, but things took a turn six months later. 

Ye called Jeezy almost half a year later and asked if he could keep the song, to which the latter agreed. But Jeezy was surprised at how successful the song became when West released it. “So the song comes out, huge like I am not even expecting,” exclaimed the singer. Ye apparently performed his own version in front of a big crowd and Jeezy realized how genius of a song the rapper had made.

It has been some time since Ye has worked with any of his former allies. His music career has taken a backseat as he is busy with his new wife, Bianca Censori. It is to be seen whether he drops an album anytime soon.
