the role, the popularity of the character went through the roof. Soon after, the
Man of Steel was released, and Superman became one of the most popular superhero
in the DC Extended Universe.

comeback to the DCEU after a series of rumors and gossips surrounding Superman’s
character. Cavill’s Superman is such a popular superhero and as per the latest
news, Warner Bros. has been eyeing various directors for a new Superman project.
Amidst all the news of an upcoming Superman movie that is making the rounds,
horror maestro Mike Flanagan previously made some interesting revelations about
his discussions with Warner Bros.

MIKE FLANAGAN WANTED TO DIRECT A SUPERMAN FILM FEATURING HENRY CAVILL?

Mike Flanagan is one of most popular American film makers. The director has made
some very popular horror genre films, including The Haunting of the Hill House
and Netflix’s Gerald’s Game. And recently, the Doctor Sleep director revealed

his discussions with Warner Bros. about making a Clayface horror film and
Superman project. Flanagan spoke, “We were meant to talk about DC Comics. I was
really hoping to chat about a horror-slanted Clayface movie, and about my
favorite superhero: Superman.”



However, the director added that none of his discussions with the franchise made
headway. Flanagan met Jon Berg for a general meeting during the time Gerald’s
Game had first released. Flanagan revealed that Berg loved King and wanted to
enquire about the productions. Interestingly, at that time, Berg asked Flanagan
if he wanted to take a look at script of Doctor Sleep. However, his discussions
with Warner Bros. went towards a different direction than Superman, it would be
interesting to see Flanagan direct a Superman
