Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia is an experience that comes along once in a century. While a number of his roles have a similar arc, there are a few performances by the factory that truly stand out. Fitting the description was Cavill in Netflix’s sci-fi show The Witcher. We are no strangers to the fact that Cavill’s portrayal of Geralt was flawless. While the actor’s time in the show has run out, fans are still in awe of Cavill as the Witcher. However, back when Cavill was playing the role, he had a peculiar way of dealing with the critics as well. 

The Witcher was the first time we saw Cavill in a fantasy role. Even though the show was well received by the fans, a few elements from the show did not sit right with them. Unlike other shows, The Witcher had a complex plot as it followed multiple storylines at once. Fans had a tough time at the start dealing grasping the concept of the show. Furthermore, a handful of them even felt confused and disoriented at times. However, surprisingly Henry Cavill sided with the fans. While speaking to the Digital Spy, the British celeb spoke, “I think fair. Absolutely fair.”

Furthermore, the Enola Holmes star continued as he spoke about how following three different characters at once was tricky. Cavill continued that even people who had an idea about the Witcher franchise would find it difficult to keep track of a completely original story.

However, elsewhere in the interview, the British celeb assured the fans that things will start falling in place now. Suffice to say, the fans had got a better idea of the show after the first season. Cavill finally concluded, “I think it’s a bit more clear. And I think that’s a good thing.”

Ever since Cavill bid farewell to the role of Geralt of Rivia, the show had to go an incredibly tough time. His exit even gave rise to fans boycotting the show and even creating petitions to bring back Cavill.

As per reports by FandomWire, price of a PVC statue of Cavill fell down by nearly $18. Meanwhile, the prices of other merchandise and collectibles have also fell down.
