But in the past year, fans did not get to see Eilish make a grand statement with her hair. The singer stuck to the full blonde on full raven locks. No half-green, half black looks or vibrant hair color, as a matter of fact. This struck as fishy to fans and they were quick to question Eilish’s mental well-being. But thankfully, Vogue asked her to share her nighttime routine, and although not directly, fans got a satisfactory answer to their question.

Contrary to popular belief, Eilish did not stop coloring her hair because she was balding. As the singer reveals in her appearance on the Vogue channel, she had to do it for a very crucial reason. It’s not every day that you see someone roaming around with green-colored hair akin to that of Ben 10’s car and that made Eilish a very bad secret Santa in public.

In a crowd that maintains neutral colors on their crown, her green screamed “Pop Star.” Therefore, in order to avoid attention when she went out and about, the singer now maintains neutral hair.

“It’s much easier for me to go out in the world and be a normal person with a normal hair color for me,” the singer said.

Eilish has been outspoken about how stardom had affected the privacy that she greatly cherished. Hence, she did not mind letting go of vibrant hair colors in favor of it. While we do miss the surprise that Eilish’s hair entailed, Black is the new green, if Eilish says it is.
