Netflix has yet to renew or cancel How to Get to Heaven From Belfast for a second season. Moreover, there is still some hope since the creators certainly seem to have a plan for a second installment, considering its intriguing ending. After the three friends, Saoirse, Robyn, and Dara, watch their friend Greta and her family at Heaven's Veil and return to a store for some tea, they also bring with them a bag.

Dara shared that she brought it with her since Greta left it behind. As they peek inside, they mutter to themselves with a shocking expression and seem to promise that they will not go back to investigate the situation. At the same time, the next scene shows a random man being stabbed to de--- inside a truck.

For those who have watched the series, this is the same man who dropped Greta off at Cork. Considering the trio’s love for digging up chaos, it is unlikely that anything will stop them. However, it will depend on Netflix whether it decides to renew the show.

Until then, fans binge-watch the murder mystery How to Get to Heaven From Belfast, which is brilliantly written by Lisa McGee, inspired by her own friendships and experiences.

Lisa McGee spoke about stealing personal moments for How to Get to Heaven From Belfast

Much like Saoirse in How to Get to Heaven From Belfast, creator and writer Lisa McGee had her own such moment. She had revealed that her friendship had inspired her work in Derry Girls , and as for the latest murder mystery, she revealed to have taken inspiration from her personal life too.

"Saoirse was my way into the show. I sympathised with her career," McGee told.

"I have two boys, Robyn has three, I loved the chance to write about some of the stresses and frustrations of being a mum.”

She revealed that, as a mother herself, she enjoyed writing about the character of Robyn, played by Sinéad Keenan. And Dara, played by Caoilfhionn Dunne, was her way of bringing peace to the story. And that is perhaps why How to Get to Heaven From Belfast is interesting not just for its story but also for its characters.
