While the book focuses on the main character, the show has her doing things that leave him losing his trust in her. Hissrich called this a ‘story problem’, but fans feel that it would’ve never happened if they had stuck to the source material. Although she has promised of reconnecting love between the two in the next and third season.
Now the fans are calling out Hissrich for making mistakes with the storyline, wondering how it will all be wrapped up by the end.

This is ridiculous. A show ruined. They can't go back from the way season 2 was done. They need to fire these writers with the agendas they are putting out there and stick to the original source material. They want to push something else create your own nonsense. 😡😡😡😡

She is not gonna be able to end her story because she decided
to change It and destroy original books story. Is sad but she deserves It telling fans several líes.— Dani Marmol ۞ (@danivilchesm) May 12, 2023
Henry Cavill should have been an executive producer on this show, he actually cared about the story, and now we’re losing him.

Since the actor was a big fan of the game and books for a long, some feel that he should’ve been made in charge of the show as well.
They don't even put Geralt in the focus anymore. Both photos they shared have him blurred. What the actual fuck
