As Netflix moves forward with its adaptation of Quicksilver, many fans are rooting for Henry Cavill to portray the beloved book-boyfriend Kingfisher. A recent Instagram post by BigLittleRead sparked a debate over whether Cavill would be the right fit for the role. And this speculation was fanned by none other than the Quicksilver author herself, in an interview with First for Women.
In the interview, Hart revealed that she is part of the project as an executive producer, and it will be helmed by industry veteran Elizabeth Cantillon. However, when it comes to casting, Hart shared that several names are in conversation. While she did not confirm exactly which names were being pitched, the author did let slip Henry Cavill's name.
"Everyone wants Henry Cavill for everything and, of course, you can picture him in anything too, so it works," said Hart.
For now, there is no official update, but the fan-casting conversation continues to gain traction across social media, with many weighing in on Cavill’s potential as Kingfisher.

Another netizen was confident of the versatile actor to take the role and wrote, “I mean, put this man in any role, and he'd be perfect.”
