It was the year of 2019 that the world got a never before seen monster hunter in the name of Witcher. According to what Andrzej Sapkowski’s lore prophesied, the mutations caused by elven blood in his biological system enabled him to transform into such a mighty monster butcher. However, behind the silver screen, the story was different. The actor, Henry Cavill had given his blood and sweat to carve such a beautiful character and has single-handedly driven the entire series. So much so that he almost became synonymous with the Netflix show. Not only fans, but even his co-workers were notably in awe of his acting and learning skills.

Among many others, veteran actor and stunt person Vladimir Furdik also sang the praises of the former Superman actor. “He’s excellent, without him they wouldn’t be able to do it, I can guarantee that,” The Game of Thrones actor said to Redanian Intelligence back in 2019. Further praising the actor, he also mentioned how Cavill was able to pick up the fight choreography in two hours. It was something Furdik had never seen before.

The interviewer would then ask if the Enola Holmes actor was better than Kit Harington. To which the stuntman replied that Cavill has more complex fight scenes than Harrington. Previously, he had also mentioned that Henry Cavill is “a very good fighter… He knows three seconds before he kills someone how he will kill them.” Well, the British actor evidently was a great choice, and Liam Hemsworth will now have to live up to that legacy.
Meanwhile, here are a few of Cavill’s best fight scenes in the series so far.

Some of the best fight scenes of Henry Cavill in The Witcher
Whatever the white wolf treads, you can expect a trail of corpses to follow in his wake. His fight against Necker’s Hills in season one would perhaps be a mild example of this. Well, how can we forget his cathartic fight with the grave eaters? And remember how he saved the dragons in the very first season? When Cavill’s Witcher and Yennefer realized that the dragon was saving its unhatched egg, he immediately gave up his monster hunting trade and took swords against humans in a truly balletic fight.

And well the list continues… His fight against the Kikimora or that to save the life of the Hedgehog knight, Dooney, or his very first fight against the princess turned bandit and her group of merry murderers… the list is endless. However, the third season will put a full stop to it and you may need to start savoring it all.
