The filming for The Witcher 4 continues in full-throttle and thanks to eagle-eyed tabloids, fans have been blessed with periodic image leaks from the sets. Although the prospect of Geralt’s transition had already kept the Witcherverse on their toes, Freya Allan’s Ciri’s upcoming transformation in the fourth installment has left fans recovering from a frenzy. Recently, a new set of Ciri’s pictures from the sets emerged as a beacon of hope for the novel geeks.

The pictures alone have promised fans of The Witcher World to buckle up their seatbelts since the upcoming season aims to shatter all the impending flaws the earlier seasons made confrontations with.

Redanian Intelligence recently released new photographs of Freya Allan’s Ciri from The Witcher 4 sets, dressed in a fresh outfit. The other images also featured The Rats gang and a woman in noble attire. Despite Andrzej Sapkowski’s longstanding lamentation of The Witcher's adaptation fidelity, the latest pictures of Ciri present a promising glimpse for fans of the novels, suggesting that the show may be adapting the scene where The Rats ambush a baron’s carriage in Nilfgaard.

In the carriage, there was the baron’s daughter, and Ciri took her brooch. The publication reports that in the show, there could be two outcomes: either Ciri slaps the daughter or slashes her throat. The latter seems more likely, given that the scene shows Ciri holding a dagger while the girl lies in a dying state. However, in the books, Ciri does not kill the girl, so it remains to be seen how the show handles this narrative.

Nevertheless, another set of shots from a day prior also attested to Allan’s previous revelations that Ciri will take a dark turn in season 4 because of her romantic involvement with Mistle.

Redanian Intelligence acquired another series of photographs featuring Freya Allan’s Ciri, captured a day prior, where she was accompanied by The Rats. Ben Radcliffe’s Giselher, Christelle Elwin’s Mistle, Aggy K. Adams’ Iskra, Fabian McCallum’s Kayleigh, Juliette Alexandra’s Reef, and Connor Crawford’s Asse were among the characters seen alongside her. These characters play vital roles in Ciri’s character development in season 4.

Ciri was observed wearing her season 3 attire, indicating the filming of scenes likely from the early parts of the first episode. While it is challenging to extrapolate further details, the images suggest the impending tumult of the forthcoming installment. Thus, with the iconic scene from the books, The Witcher universe has indeed moved closer to its source material. However, its own unique interpretation persists.
