Fresh Off the Broadway, Jeff Ross’ 'Take a Banana for the Ride' Set to Land on Netflix
When someone goes by the moniker ‘Roastmaster General,’ it instantly becomes clear what his main job in this world is. Jeff Ross makes a living by being mean to the public. However, this statement should not fool anyone into thinking that there is no art to it whatsoever.
When you have roasted the likes of Tom Brady, Justin Bieber, Bruce Willis, and even the USA's President, it certainly is not because you are simply funny. It takes careful assessment of the boundaries you can trespass, and a consideration for those to be left alone entirely.
And what is about to come out on Netflix is bound to change any preemptive perceptions one may have of the comedian.

Netflix set to welcome Jeff Ross’ new show
Jeff Ross’ Take a Banana for the Ride, which is a solo play performed on Broadway, is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on March 24, 2026. The addition to Netflix is the recorded version of the one-man drama that ran from August 18 to September 29 in 2025.
The show blends comedy, autobiographical storytelling, and musical components, featuring Ross sharing personal tales about his family, childhood, grief, and resilience. Moreover, it is also a peek into how humor has helped Ross get through difficult times, such as personal health issues and the loss of loved ones.
In a 2025 statement to Broadway, Ross expressed that the show was supposed to be a "cathartic experience" for someone going through a tough time.
He motivated fans to have acquaintances and close ones tag along, those who may particularly be going through a tough time. Ross took a pivot from his on-stage demeanor, warmly taking on the responsibility to shake off their worries with humor.
The comedian has also made known how he always wanted to perform a classy and uncensored one-man show of his own someday. The Broadway show, and now a Netflix recording, sounds a lot like a dream come true.
He also has several other shows and specials on Netflix, but every one of them is very different from what is about to land on the platform.
Jeff Ross’ previous works on Netflix
Jeff Ross has frequently collaborated with Netflix, the recent example of which is the Roast of Tom Brady, which he co-hosted and executive-produced. He also starred and produced last year’s Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year.
Then there is the six-episode Historical Roasts, which roasted some of the iconic historical figures like Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, and Cleopatra, created by Ross, on Netflix as well. Additionally, the comedian has starred in the Netflix comedy special Bumping Mics, which lasted three episodes and also featured Dave Attell.
