Black Widow's Florence Pugh is ready to deliver a phenomenal performance in East of Eden on Netflix. She is playing the character of Cathy Ames, the morally complicated anti-heroine around whose actions the whole Trask family saga revolves.
Among the recent high points of Pugh’s career are Thunderbolts*, Dune: Part Two, Oppenheimer, Midsommar, Don't Worry Darling, and more. She is also one of the producers of this series, which arrives at the busiest year for Pugh as she prepares to dominate cinema with Avengers: Doomsday in 2026 and OTTs with East of Eden.
Christopher Abbott gives life to Adam Trask, who is the earnest and hopeful brother navigating love, loss, depression, family betrayals, and obligations. Abbott has earned critical acclaim as an actor following his performances in Poor Things, Wolf Man, Sanctuary, It Comes at Night, Bring Them Down, and more.
Grammy and Daytime Emmy Award winner Mike Faist, whose previous credits include both Challengers and West Side Story, is portraying the role of Charles Trask. His character is steeped in feverish sibling rivalry, in turn, adding even more intensity to the family conflict.
Also starring in the movie are Hoon Lee as the Trasks’ insightful and faithful companion Lee and Costa D'Angelo as Young Adam Trask. The award-winning actors Tracy Letts and Martha Plimpton will embody the characters of Cyrus Trask and Faye, respectively, while Ciarán Hinds as Samuel Hamilton, Joe Anders as Aron Trask, and Joseph Zada as Cal Trask round out the cast of this highly anticipated Netflix limited series.
