5 Reasons Ciri Should Actually Become a Witcher on the Netflix Series

The world of The Witcher [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/the-witcher/] has
captured audiences for years now. From books to games and even a Netflix series,
the franchise has constantly expanded. However, each of the versions has
slightly varied from one another, giving fans a more immersive experience. Now,
with the fourth season of the popular series coming up, it has fans wondering
whether they will finally get to see Ciri becoming a Witcher.

Throughout the show, it has been teased that she could wind up following in her
adoptive father, Geralt’s footsteps, but viewers are still a little uncertain.
So, here are 5 reasons why Ciri should become one of the mutated protectors.

5 REASONS CIRI SHOULD BECOME A WITCHER IN THE SERIES

From the beginning of the Netflix series, The Witcher, the world has seen Freya
Allan’s Ciri being mentored by Henry Cavill’s
[https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/henry-cavill/] Geralt of Rivia. With the actor
departing from the role, the show ended up centering on the actress’ character
development. Although the further seasons promise her at the helm of the series,
the show could only be more intriguing with her becoming a Witcher.

A DISTRACTION FROM HENRY CAVILL’S EXIT

Henry Cavill may no longer be a part of The Witcher, but Liam Hemsworth is set
to take his place in season 4. That update left fans feeling rather unhappy.
However, with Freya Allan’s Ciri taking over the story’s focus; her becoming a
Witcher could only give fans a better character to focus on. Apart from that, it
could also end up pleasing fans that Geralt’s mentee would be taking the spot.

Although that likely may not happen with Hemsworth in the mix, there is still a
rather high possibility of the show deciding to make her a protector. While it
might not be the same as the first season or even the second, Allan’s character
is sure to give fans a good adventure. After all, the third season’s finale had
her befriend the group of miscreants called, The Rats.

Witcher’ Cast in the Netflix Show

The Witcher games, on the other hand, have given their players a choice between
making her an Empress or a Witcher.

BECOMING A WITCHER WOULD MAKE CIRI MORE POWERFUL

So far, The Witcher has already made out Freya Allan’s Ciri to be a powerful
character
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/netflix-junkie-ciri-vs-yennefer-who-is-the-stronger-woman-in-the-witcher/].
After all, she did grow up around Geralt and Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer. However,
if the series did decide to end up making the character a Witcher, it would only
increase her powers and her strength. While she might have to undergo the same
agonizing mutation that Henry Cavill’s character went through, it would only end
with her getting more powerful than before.

The transformation would also help her harness her powers better. Given her
possession of Elder blood and already present and practiced magical abilities,
her transformation could prove her to be a force to be reckoned with in The
Witcher universe.

WOULD STAND OUT FROM THE WITCHER BOOKS AND GAMES

If Netflix’s The Witcher series adaptation from Andrzej Sapkowski’s books
decided to make Ciri a Witcher, it would give fans a different view of the
character. While the books and games have faced this very same dilemma, they
both ended up giving the world different things. In the books, Freya Allan’s
character underwent training, but she never became a true Witcher.

In the games, fans got three different endings. Although she died in one, became
a Witcher in the other, and even the Empress of Nilfgaard, fans were still
confused about which one was the best. It turned into a debate that is still
going on. So, with Netflix putting out the version where Ciri becomes one of the
protectors of the realm, it could put that debate to rest.

While her finally fulfilling her destiny could please a lot of fans, there is no
saying what the streaming giant could end up going with.

CIRI COULD BE THE FIRST-EVER FEMALE WITCHER

Ciri’s potential transformation in The Witcher could see a groundbreaking moment
in the universe. It would end up making her the first-ever female Witcher in the
Netflix series. While it would be astounding to watch, it would also challenge a
lot of the norms that were set in the fantasy land. However, the sudden progress
might end up redefining certain roles.

If she were made a Witcher, there is no doubt that Freya Allan’s Ciri would
break the glass ceiling. Without a shadow of a doubt, the character would
display invaluable strength and manage to stay on par with her male
counterparts. Apart from just being a step up from their previous stereotypical
beliefs, her transformation will also help bring a sense of empowerment to the
show.

CIRI COULD BRING A DIFFERENT TAKE TO HOW THE WORLD SEES A WITCHER

Over the years, Netflix’s The Witcher might have built quite a large fan
following. Though viewers have loved the show, there is no denying that Witchers
are seen as violent and gory. While their battles might be epic, Ciri, becoming
one of them, could show a softer side to the protectors. With Freya Allan’s
character being kind and not cruel, it could help the world see that they are
not just out for blood.

While there is no saying what the character could end up choosing to do in the
upcoming 4th season of The Witcher, one thing is for sure. Many fans all over
the world are hoping that the streaming giant goes with the storyline of her
becoming a Witcher.
