Inside Finn Wolfhard's promising musical career and upcoming projects
In an interview with Esquire, Finn Wolfhard expressed that although he still loves acting, the music arena, especially with his band The Aubreys, will become a big part of his life after Stranger Things, especially in 2026. He furthered that right after wrapping up the New Year’s Eve finale, he has no major acting engagements as of now.
However, Wolfhard would prefer to explore projects that align with his creative pursuits. But first comes the release of a new album, recording new songs he had been writing, and a tour with his band. He would only pursue acting projects that truly excite him so he can devote time to his passion projects.
“I definitely want to pursue and keep on acting, but only if it’s something that I’m really in love with. I’m probably going to tour a little bit with my band next year and put out another album," Wolfhard revealed to the outlet.
"I have some music that I’ve written over the last two years that I want to record. So I’m kind of keeping it open," Wolfhard added while talking to Esquire after the Stranger Things finale.
Meanwhile, Wolfhard also confirmed to the outlet that he has already wrapped up filming his upcoming stunt comedy Crash Land, written and directed by Dempsey Bryk, and starring Gabriel LaBelle. The actor is allowing himself to take in opportunities in music and acting without pressure, always relying on his creative instincts as the guiding light that has preserved his music throughout his decade-long tenure with Hawkins.
