Fans Sniff Big Trouble Picturing Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven in ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 for This Major Reason

One of the reasons why Stranger Things has become Netflix’s most fruitful investment is because of its cast. It is not an everyday thing to find an ensemble, each member of which fits their role perfectly. And although all the burgeoning stars from the series have grown up to be massively popular both as actors and social media personalities, the one currently at the top is Millie Bobby Brown. However, as the fifth season draws nearer, fans are conflicted about seeing the Stranger Things sensation return as Eleven once again.

When fans first saw Brown as Eleven, she was just as old as her character's name. However, she has since become a married woman. The 20-year-old got married to the love of her life, Jake Bongiovi, in a private ceremony, and apparently, they are planning a bigger bash too. Now, speaking of Stranger Things, the last season of the show saw Brown’s character wrapping up as a 15-year-old.

Considering that the upcoming season is going to pick up from right where the previous season ended, she is likely to play a 15-year-old in the final season as well. While it is not uncommon for Hollywood actors to play characters way younger than their actual age, seeing the Enola Holmes actress in her Eleven-esque persona as a married woman is something that is not sitting right with fans.

Stranger Things fandom feels Millie Bobby Brown is too old to play Eleven

One constant worry that has been on fans’ minds since the fourth season is that the cast of Stranger Things has grown too old. However, executive producer and director Shawn Levy assured fans in an interview with Variety that they will give it their all to age down the cast for the fifth and final season by using "all the tools available". However, it seems that assurance did not help fans’ anxieties about how the cast will look by the time season 5 reaches their screens.

Not just Millie Bobby Brown, fans had similar worries about the entire Hawkins ensemble.

Meanwhile, some still could not come to terms with the fact that the child actress from Stranger Things is now married.

It is not difficult for makers to control the age of their cast in this digitally and technologically advanced age. Fans saw Millie Bobby Brown’s character age down by almost a decade in the 4th season while her past life was being shown. And even if the cast looks too old for the characters in the fifth season, the makers have plenty of resources to address that.
