Releasing its first episode on the 4th of November, 2016, The Crown boasted a massive viewership. Chronicling the life and times of Queen Elizabeth II, the historical drama tried to remain as faithful to history as possible while dramatizing a few necessary scenes. Running down key moments of the late monarch’s life from the 1940s to the turn of the millennium praises galore it for maintaining a strictly gripping tone.
The last season of the show received a two-part release. While the first set of four episodes dropped on November 16, the final six, and arguably the most nail-biting of them, all made their way to stream on December 14.
