Fans Cancel Plans as 'One Piece: Into the Grand Line' Trailer Debuts, Sending Countdown Into Overdrive

The cultural impact of One Piece is hard to overstate. For more than two decades, Eiichiro Oda’s saga of the Straw Hat Pirates has sailed across manga pages, anime arcs, and fan conventions. When Netflix launched its live-action One Piece series in 2023, many longtime fans feared a misfire, but the opposite happened.
The adaptation was embraced for respecting the heart of Luffy’s journey, from his straw hat promise to Shanks to the emotional weight of Arlong Park. Now, Netflix has officially confirmed the next big chapter. On January 12, 2026, the streamer dropped a brand-new trailer and announced.
“Pirates beware! Assassins ahead… ONE PIECE: INTO THE GRAND LINE premieres MARCH 10," the X post said, and fans collectively lost their composure.

This marks the release date for season 2, and the timing could not be more perfect, as the fandom has been waiting to see how the story moves deeper into the deadly and unpredictable Grand Line.
The teaser revealed that the shadowy Baroque Works will be the main threat this season. The biggest reveal is Lera Abova as Miss All-Sunday, better known as Nico Robin, finally using her Hana Hana no Mi powers to sprout multiple arms in fluid, high-end CGI. There is also David Dastmalchian’s Mr. 3 trapping the Straw Hats with his wax abilities, and Charithra Chandran’s Miss Wednesday (Vivi) escaping Whisky Peak chaos alongside Nami.
The trailer even teases Drum Island, with Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha and a brief, mysterious glimpse of Tony Tony Chopper. Netflix also quietly confirmed that season 3 is already greenlit, suggesting the Alabasta arc is being planned well in advance.
Ever since Netflix posted the trailer on X, fans have been in full overdrive, joking about skipping work, canceling plans, and rewatching season 1 just to be ready for March 10.
Fans cannot wait to watch One Piece
Online comments are overflowing with excitement, theories about Baroque Works, and emotional reactions to seeing Nico Robin and Chopper brought to life. The energy feels like a global watch party already forming.
With this announcement, Netflix’s massive 2026 content slate feels more fulfilling. And fans are openly acknowledging that One Piece is one of the crown jewels, driving that hype forward.
