It is time for the English actress Florence Pugh’s fans to rejoice. After
featuring in spectacular movies like Black Widow and Midsommar, Pugh is all set
to add another feather to her already illustrious cap. The 26-year-old has been
roped in for an upcoming Netflix limited series.

Netflix is ready to entertain the fans with another drama series as they have
acquired the rights for the limited-series adaptation of John Steinbeck’s book
East of Eden. The streaming platform had to put in a lot of effort to get the
digital rights. The fight was worth it as the series is being co-produced by
Endeavor Content and Anonymous Content.


THE CASTING OF FLORENCE PUGH AS CATHY

Aside from Pugh’s involvement in the project, Ruby Sparks and Wildlife writer
Zoe Kazan will be writing and be the executive producer for the Netflix
adaptation. Notably, this will not be the first adaptation of the classic novel,
East of Eden. It was earlier adapted into a feature film by Warner Bros, with
Zoe’s grandfather Elia Kazan as the director.

and repair, and love and betrayal. The story is about the intertwined fate of
two families, namely the Trask and the Hamiltons.

Set in the rich farmland of the Salinas Valley, the novel follows closely
follows the life of two brothers, Adam Trask and Charles. While the two brothers
have always been at loggerheads, the entry of Cathy as Adam’s wife makes the
situation worse.
