Tyler Perry took the reins as writer, producer, and director for the film. While Taraji P. Henson starred in the film as April, Perry also stars as his iconic character, Madea. Adam Rodriguez, Brian White, Mary J. Blige, and Gladys Knight are also part of the cast. 

Madea's Family Reunion 2006

Madea's Family Reunion follows Madea as she becomes involved in the troubled lives of her relatives. Her two nieces are struggling with difficult relationships and life-changing decisions. Meanwhile, the eccentric grandmother is also court-ordered to take in a troubled foster teenager and help guide her toward a better future.

But as the family reunion approaches, she must keep everyone together while dealing with the chaos. The film is an adaptation of the stage production of the same name, written by Tyler Perry. Tyler Perry, Blair Underwood, and Lynn Whitfield are part of the cast.

Tyler Perry's A Madea Homecoming 2022

Tyler Perry's A Madea Homecoming is Tyler Perry's second Netflix film. It follows Madea hosting her great-grandson Tim's college graduation party. But things hardly go as she planned. Soon, the graduation party drew in surprise guests, family tensions, and long-hidden secrets.

The 2013 movie, Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas, is the eighth film in the Madea movie series. It follows Madea visiting a small Alabama town with her great-niece to spend Christmas with their family. However, trouble follows her as she finds the community struggling with financial hardship over a newly constructed dam while new secrets and personal conflicts emerge. Apart from Perry, Kathy Najimy, Anna Maria Horsford, and Chad Michael Murray are also part of the cast.

Madea's Destination Wedding (2025)

Madea's Destination Wedding is the thirteenth movie in the Madea franchise. Written and directed by Tyler Perry, once again, the movie follows Madea and the Simmons family heading to the Bahamas for a destination wedding. But soon, drama and family conflicts emerge for the Simmons.
