The Witcher Season 3 brought a major twist to the plotline, introducing a fake Ciri. Vilgefortz, the rogue mage, made this doppelgänger of the princess kidnapping part-elf novices. Though Geralt tried to stop him, one apprentice escaped named Teryn. Fans later find out this girl has not only stolen Ciri’s identity, but also her place in the royal palace. The finale of the season showed Emhyr doing her coronation, and they adorned the false Ciri in a gown befitting royalty, having the same white hair.

To this point, viewers understood Emhyr fell into the trap that Vilgefortz created to convince Nilfgaard to abandon their search for Ciri. However, the bigger question remains if he married the fake Ciri in the third installment. And if it did happen, how it will affect the story of the surprise child in the next season?

The Witcher Season 3 depicted Emhyr introducing Fake Ciri to the people and addressing her as the Queen of Cintra. However, it is not revealed when the two would get married. Many would think that he wants to marry her to gain sovereignty over the Continent. Well, this is true at some point because she is the true heir to their kingdom.

The real reason behind this is he wants to impregnate her and make true Ithlinne’s prophecy. According to the books, Vilgefortz manipulated him into believing the prediction of this seer. Ithlinne foresaw if Emhyr were to have a child with Ciri, their offspring would not only save but rule the world.

So Ciri would not be saved from the relentless chase and season 4 would possibly see the White Flame looking for Ciri. All these things can make this child of chaos lose her faith and turn to her dark side, which would only bring doom to their world.
