50 Cent on casting P. Diddy’s son in Netflix’s Sean Combs: The Reckoning

In an interview with Us Weekly on December 9, 2025, 50 Cent revealed that he nearly got Sean Diddy Combs's sons to appear in the Netflix docuseries. The show spotlights Diddy’s family, their respective careers, and revives long-standing accusations about the disgraced rapper’s inner circle.

However, Diddy's children and their insider perspectives on their convicted father's case did not end up being direct interview subjects in Netflix’s Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

Curtis Jackson told the publication, "I had communications with his son. There was a point when they were interested in being a part of the doc because they wanted to show their perspective."

With the release of Sean Combs: The Reckoning, Diddy's son Justin Combs, however, has been caught in the crossfire, especially since 50 Cent's US Weekly interview. While his mother, Misa Hylton, publicly denounced the harassment they faced since the documentary came out, a 2017 s----- assault lawsuit against Justin Combs has resurfaced online.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson of Sean Combs slammed the four-part docuseries as a "shameful hit piece," in a cease-and-desist, wherein none of his family members directly participated in its making. Despite the two rappers' long-standing rivalry, Jackson had been in touch with Diddy's sons Justin and Quincy, who had previously worked with the G-Unit mogul.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan, also executive-produced by Jackson, welcomed Quincy Brown in the recurring role of Crown Camacho, a record label owner, in seasons 1 and 2. However, over a year prior to Sean Combs' alleged crimes surfacing, Brown's character was quickly killed off in 2022.

During his press run for Netflix's Sean Combs: The Reckoning, 50 Cent has also time and again stressed that he had hired Quincy Brown and Justin Combs to work in two of his scripted television programs. However, following the docuseries, chances of their future collaborations definitely do look bleak.
