As the time for LEGO One Piece’s release on Netflix comes near, LEGO has been pressing harder and harder on the gas to turn up the heat on the promotion of the animated special. And it has been doing that in the best possible way it knows- by releasing LEGO sets depicting some of the iconic scenes from the story. On top of that, LEGO has roped in the cast of One Piece live-action to react to them, which further takes the excitement up a notch.

This time, it has invited David Dasmalchian, Callum Kerr, and Julia Rehwald to react to their LEGO figurines.

One Piece Netflix posted three video clips on their official X (Twitter) handle with David Dastmalchian, Callum Kerr, and Julia Rehwald reacting to three different LEGO sets inspired by iconic One Piece scenes. Dastmalchian got the one from Little Garden where Dory and Brogy are fighting, and the Straw Hat crew is dealing with No. 3 and company.

As happy as Dastmalchian was seeing his figurine, he became a bit emotional and nostalgic, expressing how grateful he is that his inner childhood "nerd" got to play this part in the series. Kerr, on the other hand, kept admiring every aspect of the Showdown with Captain Smoker Lego set and ended up stealing the minifigure of his bike from the show.

Rehwald got Garp’s Marine Battleship, and she just went crazy at the attention to detail that went into designing the set. She also gave Tashigi her long-held dream of capturing Roronoa Zoro while playing with the figurines in the video posted on X. But what impressed her the most were the moving pieces of the battleship, which seemed fun to play with.

LEGO One Piece promises to be a wild swing with the story of the One Piece live-action told in a way never seen before.

LEGO One Piece will be a two-part animated special that will recount the events of the One Piece live-action series up until season 2. But that is not the main draw of the special. The thing that has gotten everyone fired up is the fact that the story is going to be narrated by one such fellow who has an undying affinity for telling stories.

The brave warrior of the sea - Usopp - will tell the whole story from his own perspective, which is guaranteed to be an exaggerated version of things where he comes out as the central character. It is definitely going to be fun, and with the original cast of the show returning, fans just cannot wait for the special to drop already. LEGO One Piece will land on Netflix on September 29, 2026.
